ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a contract to direct hire position available

Advanced Test Engineer

Due to the nature of work our client does, US Citizenship is required

• As the Advanced Test Engineer, you'll participate in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new systems, products and special devices. 
• Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you'll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
• Participate or lead in test planning and mapping test cases/suites to System requirements.
• Participate or lead in scheduling test events.
• Participate or lead in reserving environmental lab time.
• Participate or lead in tracking/reserving test resources needed for test procedures.
• Participate or lead in writing/dry running/executing/maintaining test procedures.
• Participate or lead in writing automated regression test scripts.
• Participate or lead in analyzing test data either manually or via test scripts.
• Participate or lead writing test reports.
• Participate or lead in building/verifying/maintaining test environments and networks.
• Participate or lead collaboration with Engineering (SE, SW, FW, HW, specialty) to confirm test case and requirement verification.
• Participate or lead in creating specialty SIT HW (IO drawer).
• Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Master's Degree. 
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
• Ability to grasp and new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
• Python scripting.
• Understands networking (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, ESP).
• Basic familiarity of Cross Domain Solutions and R2B/B2R networking.
• Network device routing and forwarding testing.
• Getting a HW Payload through TRL7 Space Environmental testing.
• Team Collaboration (work with various personalities to maximize effort and maintain/lift team morale).
• Xena Traffic Generation and test data generation.
• Gitlab/VSCode IDE for scripting and source control.
• Office products to generate Test Cases, procedures, and reports/presentations.
• Network Rack/cabinet planning and building.
• Lab and Network documentation, implementation, and management.
