THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer who can contribute to the modernization of AMD's AI build architecture. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about improving build systems and motivated to help scale the delivery of AMD's AI software stack.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Contribute to major components of the developer build system including its CI/CD infrastructure.
2. Collaborate with open-source developers to guide the ecosystem in adjacent projects.
3. Work with stakeholders across many component teams to help modernize dependent build systems.
4. Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. 10+ years of experience.
2. Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail.
3. Deep knowledge of build systems such as cmake and ninja as well as experience improving overall e2e build speeds both locally and as part of hosted runners.
4. Experience with packaging of build systems.
5. Effective problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1. CI/CD (GitHub actions/workflows an extra plus).
