San Joaquin Country Club is a premier private club with a tradition of excellence that features full club amenities including a pool, practice area, and driving range. The clubhouse offers fine dining, Member’s Grill, and has banquet space capable of hosting banquets, weddings, and other events. We are looking to fill several Bartender positions to provide exceptional beverage service to members and guests while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, ensures adherence to all state and club regulations, and contributes to the overall quality of the member dining and social experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet members and guests courteously and ensure prompt, friendly service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and club standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of bar offerings, including wines, beers, cocktails, and daily specials.
• Monitor and manage member tabs accurately using the POS system.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age and enforce responsible alcohol service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, tools, and equipment.
• Restock bar supplies, garnishes, and inventory as needed.
• Handle member inquiries and requests professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Assist with private events, banquets, and special club functions as assigned.
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Work cooperatively with serving and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a hospitality, club, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have or be able to obtain state-required food handler and alcohol service certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Position offers a competitive salary between $17 - $20 per hour with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for club operations.
