We are looking for a Certified Credentialing Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing credentialing processes for medical and allied health staff, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization's commitment to quality care and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff, including appointments, reappointments, privileging, and evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, regulations, and accreditation standards through meticulous review and management.
- Maintain and update medical staff databases, official rosters, and call schedules to support operational efficiency.
- Prepare agendas, record minutes, and manage follow-ups for medical staff departments and committee meetings.
- Collaborate with various departments and physicians to interpret and provide relevant data for performance evaluations.
- Manage medical staff documents, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Handle medical staff dues and fees while maintaining strict confidentiality in all related matters.
- Stay informed on current policies, hospital regulations, and agency requirements to uphold compliance.
- Perform other duties related to credentialing and medical staff services as assigned.
Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Technical degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in medical staff services or a related field, with increasing responsibility.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services is required.
- Strong understanding of credentialing procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in database management and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent organizational and meeting planning skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
