Build What Matters — Join Hood Construction as a Superintendent
Hood Construction is expanding, and we’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the charge on our commercial job sites. If you're passionate about construction leadership, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a track record of delivering projects with excellence, we want to talk to you.
As a Construction Superintendent with Hood, you'll be the on-site captain, responsible for supervising all daily field operations, ensuring commercial construction projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the high standards of quality and safety we’re known for.
What You’ll Do on Our Team
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include directing and managing on-site construction crews , coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and keeping a keen eye on schedule compliance and cost control. You’ll interpret construction drawings and blueprints, maintain accurate documentation, and enforce rigorous safety standards. Regular collaboration with project managers, clients, and stakeholders will keep communication flowing and milestones on track.
You'll lead by example — conducting site meetings, managing construction schedules, performing quality control, and documenting daily progress using project management tools. From pre-construction planning to punch list completion, you’ll be involved every step of the way.
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for candidates with 5-7 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial general contracting . You should bring strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of building codes and construction safety protocols, and the ability to manage complex timelines and multi-trade coordination.
You’ll need proficiency with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.), solid blueprint reading abilities, and a strong understanding of project sequencing, inspections, and compliance. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites are required.
