About this Position: An Equipment Service Technician at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America maintains, repairs, and implements improvements to various types of manufacturing equipment which allows the manufacturing areas achieve their safety, quality, and production targets. Responsibilities include:Respond to equipment emergency downtime, troubleshoot for the root cause of the failure, and repair as needed in a timely mannerPerform preventive maintenance activity both during production and non-production timeDocument daily activity in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo)Support weekend maintenance activityComplete assigned work orders when not responding to emergency downtimeSupport scheduled maintenance activity during plant shutdownsAttend all required training as well as self-develop skillsSupport any equipment installations, removal, and demo as required Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:A minimum of three months of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with a 2 year technical degree.Or a minimum of two years of relevant experience, if no degree.Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.Desired skills:Multi-craft technical skills: Electrical, mechanical, automation, PLC logic, robotics, CNC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general maintenance Ability to read and understand various technical drawings & blueprintsEffective time management skillsAbility to communicate with Production, Engineering, and other Equipment Service associates.General computer skills Other Job Specific Skills:Manufacturing environment: coolant, grease, oil, noise5-8 hours weekly overtime average - mainly on weekendsWilling to work weekends, holidays and plant shutdowns as requiredWilling to work any shift (First, Second, or Third)Minimal potential travel for training and/or equipment reviews Total RewardsCompetitive total compensation$5,000 Sign-on Bonus1.5 OvertimeAnnual Profit Sharing Bonus OpportunityShift Premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts401k Plan with company contributionsFlexible and valuable insurance plansRelocation assistance (if relocating 50+ miles)Development to further your careerDiscount on Honda productsPaid time off and paid holidays To be eligible for a signing bonus, the applicant must not have been previously employed by Honda as a fulltime associate.
