Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a creative and driven Executive Chef 3 to join our team at The College of New Jersey !

In this high-impact role, you’ll lead all culinary operations across retail and catering venues, bringing innovative, sustainable, and student-focused dining to life. You’ll engage directly with students, staff, and clients—ensuring exceptional food experiences every day.

What You'll Do


  • Lead all culinary operations across residential, retail, and catering services
  • Develop seasonal menus that reflect food trends, local sourcing, and sustainability
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
  • Drive operational excellence in a union environment, ensuring compliance and collaboration
  • Actively engage with students, staff, and campus partners to elevate the dining experience
  • Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Train, mentor, and inspire a diverse culinary team

What You Bring


  • executive chef or senior culinary leadership experience, preferably in campus, corporate, or high-volume settings

  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and menu development

  • Passion for engaging with the campus community and elevating student dining

  • Proven success managing food costs, labor, and kitchen operations

  • Ability to lead and motivate union and non-union team members

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
