Job Description

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious partner contracting for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.

Under the guidance of the Fleet Supervisor, the driver (HMV/LMV) will have to manage daily trip schedule in the best optimum way possible to realize cost savings for the company and provide the best services to internal clients.

Main Accountabilities

·        Driver should be aware of all local city, suppliers, and border locations.

·        Respect daily work/ trip schedule/time and work closely with Supervisor.

·        Always follow HSE and safe drive rules during working hours.

·        Maintain good and clean grooming standard during working hours.

·        Ensure punctuality and safe driving during operation.

·        Drivers should also plan routes based on road conditions and delivery locations.

·        Always carry valid documents ID, Driving licenses during driving hours.

·        Verify delivery notes against loading list during cargo movements.

·        Obey country’s traffic laws and always follow established traffic and transportation procedures.

·        Perform daily vehicle inspection and maintain vehicle in good condition.

·        Timely vehicle service and maintenance is drivers’ responsibility. So, inform your fleet in-charge for timely service booking and maintenance.

·        Driving during drunk is a crime in this country, hence, stay away from that during working hours and respect the country’s law.

·        Coordinate and assist supplier, yard in-charge or site team leaders during delivery or collections of materials.

Requirements

Number of years of Experience:

·        2 to 3 years as Driver UAE/GCC experienced

Certification:

Should possess valid UAE driving license no 3,5 & 6.

Education:

Should be able to read and write English

Languages:

·        English/Hindi/Urdu

·        Arabic is an advantage

Technical & Functional Skills

·       Good Knowledge of road ban/ regulation of UAE

·       Good Knowledge of RTA rules and regulations

·       Basic Knowledge of Vehicle mechanical issues

·       Strong understanding of compliance and risk management.

·       Knowledge of methods and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.

Other skills and competencies

·       Quick decision making & work well under stress in a fast-paced environment, urgent deliveries/ collections.

·       Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

·       Well-developed problem solving and organizational skills.

Additional Info

·     Should be able to work on weekends and late hours.

·      Should be able to travel within any GCC country to attend duties.

General Obligations towards Health, Safety and Environment   

You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company.  

You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company.  

You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.  

You will perform all tasks set forth by safety and environmental regulations and thus cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and condition that do not pose any risks in terms of health, safety and environment to others.
