Job Description

 

Position Summary:  

Reporting to the Implementation Director, the Learning Management System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and improving the Learning Management System. This position ensures that the system is up to date, functioning properly, and accessible to client partners, instructors, and learners. Provides service support to system users, answers questions, and sets access and permission levels.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operates the LMS system. Ensures that the system is functional, up to date, and contains accurate information. 
  • Manages system data and creates customized Excel reports. 
  • Interfaces with client partners to determine short term and long-term needs.
  • Implement new courses and events in the LMS system.
  • Establish system access and permission levels for both learners and client partners.
  • Provides customer support services utilizing a ticketing system. 
  • Create layout and design as well as update client portals within the LMS.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in LMS and eLearning systems and makes recommendations regarding the incorporation of appropriate technologies for use in IFPTI learning resources. 
  • Work with external vendors to provide printed materials globally.
  • Reconcile E-commerce invoices.
  • Other duties assigned as the position evolves over time. 

Education/Experience:  

  • Previous experience working with learning management systems (LMS) required.
  • Associate degree in computers, data entry, information systems, or related field strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting customers (help desk) in a web-based content or data-based content system.
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills required. 
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with LMS, data management systems (DMS), Scorm dispatching software, APIs, video editing software, zoom administration, Teams administration, and information management strongly preferred. 
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration orientation.

  • Must be a self-starter, requiring a minimum of direction for completing assignments.

  • Ability to organize and meet deadlines for a wide variety of job requests that involve many production steps leading to the finished product. Must be able to handle numerous projects at one time. 
  • Comfortable working in a culture of constant change. 
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities on many levels externally and internally. 
  • Must be proficient with Zoom, Teams, Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, LMS/DMS applications, video editing, image editing, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and creating PDF files. 

 

Physical Factors/Working Conditions:  

Work is generally performed virtually with standard office equipment available. Employee will need to provide a dedicated private workspace including the high-speed internet. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, and light lifting. Included is exposure to a wide range of travel conditions (walking, lifting, driving, riding in vehicles, hotel stays, weather conditions).
