Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift Information:

• Shifts per Week: 3

• Hours per Shift: 12

• Shift Type: Variable (Days/Evenings/Nights)

• Compensation:

  • Local Candidates: $45/hour

  • Travel Candidates: $60/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a background in Emergency Department (ED) or Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills and thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment. This role requires availability to work every other weekend and select holidays.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in the State of New York

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain/renew prior to start)

• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required

• Inpatient care experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision in an acute care setting

• Welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, and assist in exam preparation

• Support providers during exams, including tray setup for injections and procedures

• Record patient progress, including vital signs and clinical observations

• Perform phlebotomy and initiate IV access when required
