1. THIS IS A COMMISSION-BASED JOB, AND IT PAYS 50% PLUS TIPS. The $1200 weekly pay is based ONLY on the commission, tips not included
2. YOU MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED DOG GROOMER, AND BE ABLE TO FULLY GROOM FOUR DOGS PER DAY
3. REQUIRED DAYS OF WORK ARE ONLY FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, AND MONDAY

Do you have a passion for animals as well as great people skills? Do you have experience working around and/or with animals? If so, then come join our team as a Pet Groomer. As a Pet Groomer, you will help care for the pets that are brought to our center for grooming, day care and/or other activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate towards animals, has outstanding customer service skills and has the physical stamina to groom several dogs each day. We are looking for individuals with previous grooming experience who can demonstrate dog and cat handling skills. He or she must have reliable transportation and must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the facility is clean and sanitized at all times
• Grooms animals utilizing techniques which vary depending on type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions
• Bathes and dries animals, performs pedicures and cleans ears
• Performs all general maintenance of grooming room to include cleaning cages, tubs and grooming tables, vacuuming and mopping floors, emptying trash, and cleaning clipper blades, scissors and brushes after each use
• Recommends retail products that would aid in home grooming care and general well-being of pets
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least one year of grooming experience
• At least one year of pet grooming experience
• Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds, including the latest industry trends, as well as using various tools of the trade
• Experience in hand scissoring techniques preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate dog and cat handling skills
• Upbeat personality with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Superior customer service skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
