The Senior Architect Consultant will provide expert architectural guidance and support for the digital transformation initiatives at OC Transpo, focusing on modernizing transit operations through technology solutions. This role involves providing strategic advice, developing architectural documentation, and ensuring the integration of various transit applications, including CAD/AVLC, Yard Management System (YMS), Rail Implementation, Hastus workforce management, Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) Program, Radio Integration Project, and Maintenance Management System Enhancement (M5). The consultant will work with product vendors and internal teams to optimize application performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to Transit IT leaders for managing and sharing transit applications and information.
- Gather and understand business requirements for the integration of transit applications.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including system architecture diagrams, integration architecture, data flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
- Participate in the integration and development of new transit applications with existing systems.
- Provide technical input for RFPs, procurement, and vendor evaluations.
- Contribute to system integration deliverables, including integration strategy, API specifications, and mapping documents.
- Review testing procedures and participate in technical validation of vendor designs.
- Plan for the implementation of software changes and provide advice on gap analysis and technical feasibility assessments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and configuration support for legacy applications.
- Define cloud/on-prem hosting requirements and deployment architecture.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 15 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture & Design.
- 10 years' experience in gathering requirements, design, development, testing, deploying a system/application/software (SDLC methodologies).
- 5 years' experience in Windows/Web based NET Development and object oriented design.
- 1 year experience with software packaging solution Docker, including building container images, managing container lifecycles, and integrating Docker into system architecture and deployment workflows.
- 5 years' experience in Database Development (Oracle/SQL Server/Sybase), including data modeling and database design.
- Bachelor of Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- 2 years' experience with Clever Devices solutions specifically CleverCAD deployment and/or support.
- 2 years' experience/involvement in the implementation of Giro Hastus suite of products application.
- 1 year experience in the implementation of AssetWorks (M5) planning, design, or implementation
