Uncover the Story Behind the Numbers
HireNow Staffing is seeking a sharp, detail-obsessed Senior Forensic Auditor to join a boutique yet nationally respected firm headquartered in Westwood, California . This isn't your typical desk-bound audit role. You'll be immersed in high-stakes investigations where critical thinking, discretion, and deep technical audit skills meet.
In this role, you'll be tasked with diving deep into complex financial records, identifying inconsistencies, tracing funds, and working closely with legal counsel and high-profile clients. If you have a passion for financial truth-finding and forensic detail and you thrive in environments where no two cases are the same this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and conduct forensic examinations of financial records, accounting data, and business transactions for potential fraud, embezzlement, misappropriation, or misstatement
Prepare comprehensive audit reports for internal stakeholders, external legal teams, and in some cases, law enforcement
Collaborate with attorneys, business managers, and high-net-worth clients on active investigations and risk mitigation strategies
Perform asset tracing, fund flow analysis , and internal control reviews
Present findings clearly and confidently verbally and in writing with a focus on objectivity and defensibility
Provide guidance to junior auditors or staff assigned to cases under your leadership
Ensure compliance with firm policies, GAAP, GAAS, and regulatory expectations
Stay informed on forensic trends, litigation support techniques, and financial misconduct indicators
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CFE preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in forensic accounting, audit, litigation support, or internal investigations
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting systems, and audit methodologies
Strong analytical and investigative mindset with a keen eye for patterns and anomalies
Experience working with high-net-worth individuals , entertainment clients, or trust/estate matters is a strong plus
Excellent written communication must be able to craft polished, defensible reports
High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, often sensitive environment
Why This Role Stands Out:
Diverse Casework: Every investigation is different no routine audits here
High-Profile Clients: Gain exposure to financial matters involving entertainers, executives, estates, and high-stakes litigation
Growth-Oriented Environment: Opportunities for upward mobility and specialization in forensic areas such as family law, white-collar crime, or fraud risk consulting
Work-Life Balance: Hybrid work options and a firm culture that values autonomy and quality over quantity
About the Client:
The hiring company is a privately held professional services firm offering forensic accounting, business management, tax, and advisory services to a specialized clientele. While rooted in Southern California, the firm's impact is national, particularly in the fields of entertainment, family office, litigation support, and estate matters. Their team is composed of CPAs, CFEs, MBAs, and expert auditors who value integrity, precision, and client trust above all.
Client name will be shared only after a candidate has been shortlisted and vetted.
