Senior School Library Assistant Duties & Responsilibities:In collaboration with and guided by the Senior Librarian:• Responsible for circulation of resources to students and teachers, including administration of overdue notices, holds and reservations. Maintaining the collection by regular re-shelving and shelf-reading. Repair resources where necessary. Accessioning and displaying of the Senior School periodical collection.• Ensure that the Library is clean and orderly; and that the students behave in an appropriate manner, according to Library rules and policies.• Cataloguing library resources with appropriate DDC codes, subject headings and other bibliographic information needed to ensure easy access to the resource as directed by the Senior School Librarian.• Maintaining close knowledge of all curriculum on offer in the DCS Senior School.• Keeping up-to-date on developments in the field of international school libraries and maintaining contacts with other International School Librarians in the field, locally, nationally and internationally, attending appropriate training as funding dictated.Please send your CV (login to view email)
