Cecchi's in the heart of the vibrant West Village, is seeking a professional bartender to join our exceptional team. Created by owner and operator, Michael Cecchi-Azzolina, Cecchi's Bar and Grill is committed to culinary excellence, inviting ambiance, and unparalleled customer experience. We seek a bartender’s bartender. A bartender that understands old school New York. Someone who can make a killer cocktail. Someone who smiles at a guest and not stares them down. Someone that knows how to banter, have fun, knows the menu like the back of their hand, and can look at a bar three deep and remain composed. A bartender that treats each guest with graciousness and impeccable hospitality. Someone with zero attitude. Someone that understands that the guest is the most important person in the room. And lastly, someone that loves to bartend.

We will open for lunch mid-September. Whoever is hired will need to pick up some lunch shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Ambassador of the Restaurant: Engage with guests from all walks of life, making them feel welcome and valued.
• Conversationalist: Stay updated on current events, local sports, and trends to converse effortlessly with guests.
• Empathetic Listener
• Expert in Food, Spirits, and Wine: Demonstrate extensive knowledge and make stellar cocktails that impress.
• Cocktail Connoisseur: Master classic cocktails and innovate new ones that exemplify the essence of NYC.
• Team Player: Work effortlessly with managers and co-workers to ensure smooth operations.
• Proactive Service: Anticipate guests' needs to provide exceptional service.
• Create Unique and Hospitable Experiences: Craft memorable moments for guests, ensuring they leave with a smile and a story to tell.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end establishment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of food, spirits, and wine
• Passion for hospitality and customer service.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Toast

• Warmth and graciousness; The ability to function highly in a busy environment. 
• Full food and beverage knowledge.
• A comprehensive understanding of cocktails and wine
• Ability to manage a large and busy bar that is at times three patrons deep
