The Director of Utilities and Sustainability is responsible for developing and implementing the long-term strategic initiatives and projects associated with Weber State University’s goals and initiatives related to energy and sustainability. This position is responsible for the management and direction of the controls/building automation shop, the preventive maintenance shop, the central plant operation, and the commissioning efforts around campus. Responsible for campus energy savings calculations and funds management. Oversees the develop and submission of campus capital improvement lists and coordinates these efforts with other FM Directors and other stakeholders.
Required Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Sustainability or Related Field
- 5 years full-time work experience in energy or sustainability management
- 3 years full-time work experience supervising/leading staff
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred - Certified Energy Manager
- Master’s degree in a related field
