Role Description: The Packaging Engineer must have 8+ years of experience. As the Packaging Engineer, you will lead the design and development of advanced packaging solutions for photodiode devices. This includes package design, material selection, fabrication processes, qualification, and documentation.
The role requires strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and focus on manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead package design and verification through the NPI process, ensuring manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and document materials, tools, and processes for photodiode assembly.
- Solve technical problems using statistical analysis, DOE, and process optimization.
- Establish and validate high-yield, robust, repeatable processes.
- Provide technical leadership to manufacturing engineers and mentor junior staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, process, supply chain, operations).
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, audits, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 8+ years in semiconductor or photonics.
- Strong knowledge of packaging techniques (die attach, wirebonding, flip-chip, qualification methods).
- Proven experience driving manufacturable, high-yield solutions.
- Cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 8+ years in semiconductor or photonics.
