Job Description

Salary: $127,310 - 243,340 per year Requirements:

  • We require a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with core quantitative coursework. If you do not have a degree, you may substitute it with 4 additional years of relevant experience. You should possess a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in model validation, model development, statistical analysis, and/or advanced quantitative research. Alternatively, an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field along with 4 years of relevant work experience will also be acceptable. Strong programming skills in languages like R, Python, SAS, Java, C, SQL, or similar are essential for model and algorithm development. Extensive experience with at least three statistical, econometric, and predictive modeling techniques is desired. Also, strong business context knowledge in the operational functions of Banking and/or Insurance is critical.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role, you will implement independent model validation control activities for high-risk in-house and vendor models. Your task will involve leveraging your technical expertise to develop and execute validation testing plans. You will replicate model development and may create challenger models using various advanced techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning. Conducting comprehensive model testing and data quality assessments will be part of your responsibilities, and you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of model management, including implementation and ongoing monitoring. Additionally, you will assess model risk ratings, oversee model change validations, and provide guidance and insight into the validation work done by your team. You will be expected to produce and present validation reports to management, stakeholders, and leadership while ensuring compliance with risk and compliance policies.
