As a Software Developer II in Pathology Informatics, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that directly support healthcare and clinical workflows. You will collaborate closely with clinicians, analysts, project managers, and fellow developers to translate complex medical and research requirements into innovative software applications. Your work will ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions, impacting patient care and operational efficiency. Accountabilities:

  • Design, document, code, and test software applications for clinical and pathology informatics systems.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, analysts, and clinicians to gather feedback and refine solutions.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards through rigorous unit testing, systems testing, and validation.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline workflows and optimize development approaches.
  • Translate clinical and operational problems into innovative software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other developers as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and bring innovative ideas to healthcare software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development; specialized experience in iOS/Android, bioinformatics software, or ServiceNow may be required depending on the team.
  • Experience managing and analyzing clinical, bioinformatics, or research data is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes, continuous integration, and software deployment best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, Angular, FASTAPI, SQL, NodeJS, and jQuery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into functional software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
